Riding partner(s), Olympic Peninsula
I'm fairly new to living out here and have enjoyed solo riding forest roads, but would like to find one or two others to plan and take future trips with. As an older (but not ancient) rider I don't do anything wild, though definitely like pushing as far as possible into the woods. Flexible schedule, easygoing.

I'm just across the canal from you. I'd be up for some dirt riding, provided it's big adventure bike friendly. I totally understand if you're aiming for more nimble bikes. I'm a month shy of 30, but the vast majority (but not all) of my hooliganism is saved for the track. I'm content to putt along logging roads or jeep trails if you'll indulge my occasional need for jackassery.

Well, you picked a good spot to live. You are right next to some of the best dualsporting roads in the state.. Unfortunately, they are currently only passable by snowmobile.
But in May, or June they'll be opening up.!3i13?hl=en

This is a small portion of the forest roads out there. And theres even a train wreck, if you know where to look.

as well as several cool bridges..
You can ride across this one. (can you find the tire hooped around a tree? damn kids..)

This one is a bit of a hike now.. (didnt use to be..)

I'll be up for exploring some woods this spring and summer.

Excellent, I'll be in touch as soon as the weather warms up a bit !

You are in an area that is on my list of places I want to explore. I'm in!!

When you get your group together let me know. I will make the drive out from Puyallup and ride red like you. :)

Rodeo.. are any of your bikes plated?
Any rides in the Wynoochee hills require a plated (dualsport) bike.

If you want a tour of tahuya... any dirtbike will do.. (with an ORV tag.. of course..)

When the snow melts a bit, I'll lead some rides over to Lake Wynoochee and back. I know that area well..

Hey Scribs. Yes, my XR is plated. I just bought my CRFX two weeks ago new and will be getting her geared up for trail use asap but won't plate it. Last year was my first off road year (long time street rider) and I haven't ridden Tahuya yet but dieing too. My only riding partner is my college age son in Ellensburg so most of my riding has been over there.

I'll totally be in when you do your Lake W. ride! Pic looks beautiful.

Assuming no schedule problems I'm in! The wr has plates but I need to grab a orv tag.

Not if you have plates.

I've heard conflicting stories on this and the disco pass, so no orv tag needed?!
